Kwasi giving computers
Providence, Ghanaian-American Organization supports the PROFESA Academy in Ghana by donating 4 new desk top computers.

On a recent hot June night in Central Falls, RI the Ghana Association of Rhode Island hosted its first ever Kente Cloth Celebration and Longitude was a featured guest. Board member Kwaku Afful and Longitude President Shawn Rubin were in attendance to dance and celebrate, but first there was an important presentation from GAORI president Kwasi Asante. Asante used this wonderful event to gift 4 brand new Acer Desktop computers with 18 inch monitors to the PROFESA Academy in an attempt to help the young women at the school who are working to earn their computer degrees. Asante said, "We want to see these computers put to use in the school, and I personally will be visiting the school often to see that they are being used properly." The computers will travel by cargo container later this month and will be available in the PROFESA computer lab by late August for the students to use.
