Longitude Honors
Longitude is recognizing three honorees whose work has contributed greatly to Longitude's mission!

Please join us Thursday, December 1st as we recognize:

Chris Hunter and Advocacy Solutions: Shortly after the founding of Longitude, Chris garnered the support of Advocacy Solutions to provide pro-bono advertising and public relations services to Longitude. The Providence-based public affairs firm provided design services, including a logo, launched a website and a blog for Longitude, and secured multiple positive media opportunities.

Munir D. Mohammed: Munir Mohammed, a native of Ghana, is a noted artist and adjunct professor at Rhode Island College. Munir is the artistic director of the International Gallery for Heritage and Culture and has painted more than 25 community and school setting murals. Munir is working closely with Longitude to figure out new ways to help move the PROFESA Academy to the next level in 2012.

Dr. Jayashree Nimmaggadda: Dr. Nimmaggadda is the chair of the M.S.W. program at the Rhode Island College School of Social Work. Jayashree is a founding board member of Longitude and has be instrumental in grant writing, outreach, and building accountability between Longitude and its partner projects overseas. Dr. Nimmagadda's teaching focuses on social work practice and human behavior, and she specializes in qualitative research.

As our 5 year Anniversary comes to a close, Longitude would like to honor these 3 people for the great contributions they've made to Longitude and its partner programs.
