Using Condoms In Africa - Judah Lakin's 3rd Blog
Because of my fear of mosquitoes I borrowed Shawn's protective tent to sleep in at night. It is very difficult to set up, however, because one of the two sets of poles has lost the string that holds it together. Nevertheless, with two or three people it can be done. Sadly, however, yesterday the tent spoiled. Spoiled is the phrase Ghanaians use for broken. Two of the poles cracked in half, completely inexplicably, so the tent can no longer stand on its own. It literally looks like someone took a saw to two of the poles. I, along with Okron (another adopted brother/indentured servant in the house) attempted to fix the poles with tape, but after thirty minutes we still had a tent that barely stood up and that I could not sleep in.
