Longitude Volunteers Headed to Ghana

We are excited to have three Longitude volunteers leaving for Ghana this summer. Judah Lakin is a Providence high school teacher who will be working with a high school in Abeka as well as the PROFESA academy. Judah will be leaving tomorrow, June 30th, and will be working alongside Meshach for the next five weeks of the summer. Please follow along with Judah's adventures as he lays the groundwork for what will hopefully be an outstanding cross-cultural teacher collaboration. Amy Draizen and her son Eli will be leaving for Ghana on July 10th and staying for 4 weeks.

Most loving Greetings This is to bring to your kind notice that I have shifted my residence from Hyderabad to Khammam which is central location to cover entire Andhra Pradesh. . Khammam is a town and 180 KM distance from Hyderabad (capital of Andhra Pradesh) Khammam is a small town and backward area , mainly tribal communities are living in and surroundings of the Khammam. I would like to concentrate more on Dalits and Tribals. I hope my presence will help more on interventions to empower Dalits and Tribals.

Dalits to meet in New York to discuss their plight

HYDERABAD : A small alteration between the dalits and upper caste youths in tiny village Pottilanka of Kadiyam mandal, represented by excise minister Jakkampudi Ramamohan Rao led to claiming the life of a dalit youth on Saturday night. This has sparked tension on Sunday. The Dalit youth held up traffic on the Chennai-Kolkata National Highway No 9 for more than three hours, led by Amalapuram MP G V Harsha Kumar.
